2017 marks the 32nd Year
of Fern Dell Historic Association growing to the
current four buildings of memories and history in the Newark area.

The Fern Dell Historic Association has received many scrapbooks from the late 1930's thru the 1950's. These contain information on weddings, births, deaths and other family information from Newark, Millington, Millbrook, Yorkville, Plattville, Lisbon and Helmar.  They are a great resource for genealogy research. Come in to view these during regular business hours.  We encourage you to bring obituary cards, birth announcements and wedding announcements to be copied for use in genealogy research.

Fern Dell Museum is open from 1 to 4 pm on Saturdays and Sundays and by appointment. Call 815-695-5240 or 815-695-5656.

The Misner Blacksmith Shop is open most weekdays and sometimes on weekends.  Goetz, the blacksmith, is recovering from an auto accident and plans to return to the blacksmith shop soon.  He enjoys having visitors drop in.

Fern Dell School is available for tours. Please call to make an appointment if you are interested in seeing the school.  815-695-5638
